What to expect when we work together.
You’ll work directly with me, Thomas. Here’s how a website project moves from your first inquiry to launch, and where your input is needed along the way. Custom software follows a schedule agreed during planning.
Tell me what you need
Start with a description of your business and what you want to build or change. You don’t need a technical brief or a plan picked out. I’ll reply with questions so we can work out what the project needs.
Your part
Share your current website, if you have one, your ideal timing, and any budget you have in mind.
Agree on the project
We’ll decide which pages and features to include, what they’ll cost, and how long the work is expected to take. We’ll also confirm the revision rounds, payment terms, and support before work starts.
Your part
Review the proposed work and flag anything missing. This is the time to clarify what is included and what would cost extra.
Prepare the content
The site needs your business information, text, logo, and photos. Basic and Core use finished content you provide. Growth includes help organizing and editing your content; writing it from scratch is separate.
Your part
Gather the content and arrange any account access needed for the project. Let me know early if something is still being prepared.
Build and review
I’ll build the agreed pages and features and share the work for review. You can check the layout, wording, and functionality, then send feedback within the revision rounds included in your plan.
Your part
Collect feedback into one list per round and check names, contact details, and other business information. New features may change the price or timeline; we’ll agree on that before adding them.
Approve and launch
Before the site goes live, I’ll check its layouts, links, forms, and agreed features. We’ll review the final version and coordinate the launch, including domain and hosting setup.
Your part
Approve the site for launch and confirm any remaining details. If your plan includes content editing tools, we’ll cover how you’ll use them.
After launch
Hosting, updates, and support.
Basic covers hosting and security maintenance. Content edits and design changes are billed separately at $100/hour. Core and Growth include a monthly content-change allowance along with their hosting and maintenance coverage.
Response times and included changes vary by plan. Larger changes and new features are quoted separately, so we can agree on the work and cost before it starts.
